My name is Kristine Altscheffel and I am the new Kindergarten and Young Fives teacher here at St. Elizabeth Area Catholic School. It is such an honor to have been blessed with this position and to be part of the family here at St. Elizabeth.
Allow me to tell you a little about myself. I live in Reese and am a 1999 graduate of Reese High School. I have two wonderful parents, John and Kathy, as well as two brothers, Bob and Dan. Recently, I got engaged to my incredibly supportive and caring boyfriend, Scott.
In May 2006, I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I also have minors in English and Social Studies. In addition, I have my ZA Endorsement in Early Childhood.
In the last four year, I have had the opportunity to work with children in various schools, including the kindergarten classes in Houghton Elementary and Jones Elementary in Saginaw. I have also worked in the Little Bloomers Child Care and did my student teaching in the Pre-school class here in St. Elizabeth last spring.
I would like to thank everyone for making me feel welcomed. I look forward to getting to know and working with you and your child!
