My name is Lupe Tarkowski. I grew up in Reese and I still live in the community. I am married to a special person; his name is Steve. We have two wonderful boys named Justin and Logan.
I graduated from Reese High School in 1977 and in 1979 I started working as an aide in the Chapeter One Reading Program in Reese Middle School with children 5-8 grade. I found this experience of working with children very rewarding.
In 1991, I started working with pre school age children in the B-4-K program and later with a Head Start Program. This experience opened my eyes to a new understanding of how young children can learn from new experiences. So I decided to study and in December 1996 I received my Child Development Associate Credential through the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition.
This is my sixth year teaching pre school at St. Elizabeth. I enjoy working with the parents to make a difference in their child's education by providing a positive first time experience with school.
Thank you for sharing your special gifts with me!
