Ms. Gabbie Marguery

Hello! My name is Maria Gabriela Marguery-Costoya, but everybody calls me Ms. Gabbie since my name and surnames are hard to pronounce. I have been married to my husband, Raul, for nine years.
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and lived in Tokyo, Japan for two years. I attended Balmoral College, a bilingual school where I learned all the subjects in Spanish and English. I also learned French. When I finished high school, I studied to become a teacher of English as a foreign language and continued my education in England. Later on I got a degree in Early Childhood. I taught in Elementary schools for fifteen years and was a principal for ten years before I came to the United States to do my Master of Arts in Teaching.
Before joining St. Elizabeth, I was Adjunct Professor of Teacher Education at Saginaw Valley State University and teacher consultant for a private preschool. I also participated in CyBear Surfer, an Internet Safety program for 5th and 6th graders, sponsored by the Sheriffs of Saginaw, Bay and Midland counties and other community agencies.
I feel blessed to be a part of this school and parish!
